Exciting News!

Our dossier (the enormous packet of legal paperwork needed for international adoption) was sent to the Philippines on February 9th and we were officially approved as parents for Leo on February 19th!!!! We are so thrilled! Now we are waiting to hear from Immigration which will take about 6 to 8 weeks, then our paperwork will be sent to the U.S. Embassy for approval. We are still praying that we will be able to bring Leo home by Maile's 6th birthday in June!

One of our social workers, Lorean, went to the PI last month to help select children for the upcoming Spring PI Welcome Home Program. During her visit, she was able to see Leo and took a few pictures and a short video of him. In the video he says, "Hi Mommy and Daddy and Maile..." I cried and cried after watching it.
